Musk Vs. Zuckerberg Could Really Happen, Khabib Turns Down Musk Training Request
Dana White has revealed that conversations are taking place to hold a mega cage fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg at the Colosseum, Rome.
The two billionaires set social media alight after Musk suggested that he would be willing to have a cage fight with Zuckerberg.
This was in response to reports that Zuckerberg was considering making a rival to Twitter.
Thereafter, Zuckerberg began training with Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski. Meanwhile, Elon did the same with Georges St-Pierre.
However, there has been one major setback since then. Musk confirmed recently that he may need surgery for some ‘mega back pain.’ But provided that this hurdle can be overcome, White is serious about putting the fight on.
White On Zuckerberg Vs. Musk
"We were talking about the Colosseum for that fight. I actually did have a meeting with the minister of culture in Italy to actually have that fight in the Colosseum if it happens. It would be in MMA. We’re talking, no steroids, no steroids allowed. These guys would be drug tested, Zuckerberg takes this s*it seriously.
"He’s a huge UFC fan, he trains and he’s an MMA fan… Elon grew up doing Judo, he’s a legit Judo guy… This is one of those fights that if we did do it, I would build a killer undercard. Tons of great fights, and them in the main event. But think about how big that fight is," White
Khabib Turns Down Musk
Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov has rejected the chance to train Elon. According to reports, Musk reached out to Nurmagomedov as he sought out the services of one of the best in MMA.
Following his last fight against Justin Gaethje in 2020, Nurmagomedov walked away from the sport.
He retired with a an undefeated record of 29-0, which included impressive wins over Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
Since then, Nurmagomedov has been training fighters in his own gyms. However, when Elon approached the ‘Eagle’, the latter turned it down.
It appears that Nurmagomedov’s different outlook on life did not make him compatible enough to train Musk.
"He refused because he trains only his guys, whom he knows personally. It could also have a negative impact on the image of the wrestler, since he and Musk have different views on life, alcohol and drugs," Nurmagomedov representatives
