UFC's Bryce Mitchell Claims U.S. Tried Taking Newborn Over Anti-Vaccine Stance

UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell claims his newborn baby could have been taken away after he refused to get his child vaccinated.

Mitchell’s previous UFC bout was at UFC 296, getting stopped by Josh Emmett last December. He is targeting a fight this year, but no bout is close to being announced. During his time away from the Octagon, Mitchell has had a child. The new chapter in his left understandably increased his motivation to perform in the UFC. In his nine UFC fights, he has seven wins. His only losses have come against UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria and Emmett. Following the Emmett loss, Mitchell was devastated by this performance.

“I want to let everybody know that I’m OK. I want to thank you all so much for watching and I’ve just been so blessed this weekend. [And] I cannot complain about anything and really where I messed up is a poor strategy. So my strategy was stick to the jab, make my reads, work my feet, kind of sit on the outside, but that put me to where I’m not putting that forward pressure that I really like to put and it also made me look timid. That’s not how I fight,” Mitchell revealed

But his personal life threatened his career after revealing his child could have been taken from him due to his vaccination stance. The fighter shared the following video with his child as he recalled the event.

Mitchell Reacts

“Y’all know I’ll get censored for this one. But I don’t care. I love kids and i love the truth. we have to fight for our kids or evil will corrupt the next generation. This country is so evil only God can save us. I was told DHS was gunna come get my kid cause I didn’t let the doc stick him with a needle.

Don’t let these threats of violence scare you. Be prepared and b happy to die for ur kids. Thats wat its gunna take to get our freedom back. Remember I just got love in my heart so if someone twists my words and makes me look like the bad guy, u will know the real enemy. Thank y’all for watching, I appreciate all the likes and comments,” Mitchell said

Free Speech

Mitchell also made further comments about how he intends to raise his children. The UFC fighter was vocal about homeschooling his children, expressing his dissatisfaction with the communist-style education system. Dana White has been clear about his support for free speech. He has spoken previously about how a sponsor once told him to remove a video from his social media showing support for former US President Donald Trump. While fighters are responsible for what they say outside the Octagon, White’s bottom line is that they perform in the Octagon.

“First of all, I don’t give anybody a leash. A leash? Free speech. To control what people say and to tell people what to believe – I don’t tell any other… human being what to say, what to think and there’s no leashes on any of them. It’s ridiculous to say I give somebody a leash. Free speech, brother. People can say whatever they want and they can believe whatever they want,” White stated
