UFC Oklahoma City poster drops for du Plessis vs. Usman

UFC released the official poster for its Oklahoma City card, scheduled for July 18 at Paycom Center. Former middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis faces former welterweight titleholder Kamaru Usman in the main event.

The promotional artwork went live on social media Sunday, according to MMA Mania. The design breaks from the promotion's typical template-driven approach, carrying what the outlet described as a 1990s movie poster aesthetic.

Du Plessis returns after title loss, Usman moves up again

Du Plessis (23-3) returns from his middleweight title defeat to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 in January. Before that setback, the South African had rattled off nine straight octagon wins and eleven overall, collecting scalps including Robert Whittaker, Darren Till, and Derek Brunson. He claimed the 185-pound strap from Sean Strickland via split decision and defended twice before Chimaev ended the run.

Usman (21-4) makes his second middleweight appearance, chasing a title in a second division after his welterweight reign ended. The Nigerian snapped a three-fight skid by shutting out Joaquin Buckley in his most recent outing. With Sean Strickland now holding the middleweight belt and shared history with both fighters, the winner positions himself for a high-stakes championship opportunity.

The card also features Jared Cannonier against Christian Leroy Duncan, Kevin Holland versus Jacobe Smith, and a women's strawweight bout between Fatima Kline and Tabatha Ricci. The event airs live from Oklahoma on July 18.
