Haney Offers Shakur 145-Pound Compromise For December Fight
Devin Haney has proposed a December fight with Shakur Stevenson at 145 pounds with no rehydration clause, softening his earlier push for the 147-pound welterweight limit.
Stevenson had been asking for a 144-pound catchweight and limits on how much Haney could regain after the weigh-in: "Let's do this 145 no rehydration clause … December, 2026. Somebody go wake Shakur up. Tell him we got a deal," Haney
No agreement has been announced, and Stevenson hasn't publicly accepted the new terms. Haney hasn't fought since beating Brian Norman Jr. in November 2025, while Stevenson became a four-division champion by outpointing Teofimo Lopez in January.
