His success at the youth level was particularly notable, as he emerged victorious at the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships and the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, showcasing his talent and potential on the international stage.
In 2015, at just 18 years old, Stevenson continued his ascent in the boxing world by clinching victory at the Senior U.S. Olympic Trials. This impressive win secured his spot on the U.S. boxing team for the highly anticipated 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
