Elijah Smith pocketed a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus after becoming the first fighter to knock out Davey Grant at UFC Vegas 124.

Smith, 24, stopped Grant with a flurry of right hands along the fence just one minute into their bantamweight bout at Meta Apex on Nov. 7, per MMA Mania. The finish marked the first time Grant had been stopped by strikes in his UFC career. The two fighters traded punches near the center of the Octagon before Smith connected with a shot that sent Grant backpedaling. Smith chased him to the fence and landed a collection of violent right hands that dropped Grant to the canvas, according to the report.

UFC Vegas 124 Bonus Winners

Smith was one of two Performance of the Night winners. Thomas Petersen also earned $100K after stopping Gabriel Lorenco with 13 seconds left in the third round of their heavyweight bout. Johnny Walker and Waldo Cortes-Acosta split Fight of the Night honors for their main event, which saw Walker finish Cortes-Acosta via third-round TKO.

Four other fighters collected $25,000 finish bonuses: Austin Bashi submitted Carlos Calderon in the first round at featherweight, Andrei Petroski stopped Mantas Kondratavicius via TKO to snap a three-fight skid, welterweight Jose Souza landed a knockout uppercut, and Nina Milosevic stopped Priscila Cachoeira via TKO in the bantamweight division.

Smith improved to 4-0 inside the Octagon with the victory. Grant's chin had been a question mark heading into the bout, but the 24-year-old answered it emphatically in under a minute.
