The UFC 334 bantamweight bout between Juan Diaz and Adrian Yanez has a new opponent after Yanez pulled out with an injury. Alatengheili will now face Diaz on Nov. 14 at Madison Square Garden, multiple people with knowledge of the situation told MMA Fighting.

Marcel Dorff broke the news of the replacement booking. The 34-year-old known as The Mongolian Knight will enter his 11th UFC appearance riding a September victory over John Castaneda at UFC Vegas 121, though his recent record shows alternating results across five consecutive bouts.

Diaz carries a nine-fight winning streak into his most difficult assignment yet. The bantamweight prospect knocked out his Contender Series opponent with a spinning back elbow last October to earn his contract, then stopped Malcolm Wellmaker in dominant fashion at UFC Vegas 116 this past May and collected a Performance of the Night award.

The card's main attraction pits heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane against challenger Josh Hokit. Former welterweight king Kamaru Usman offered his prediction on the Pound 4 Pound podcast he co-hosts with Henry Cejudo, expressing belief that Gane's skill set separates him from every heavyweight who came before.

"I don't think we've ever seen a heavyweight ever as dynamic as Ciryl Gane," Usman said, according to MMA Junkie.

Women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison makes her first title defense in the co-main event against returning former champion Amanda Nunes. The New York City event now carries 13 total fights.
