Merab Dvalishvili has leaned into his reputation as a volume fighter who goes the distance.
The UFC bantamweight champion joked about his decision-heavy record when asked by a fan how he planned to beat Petr Yan in their trilogy bout at UFC 333. "There are three ways to win: knockout, submission, or decision. I'm a decision machine," Dvalishvili said, per Sherdog.

Dvalishvili's Path to Bantamweight Gold Built on Pace
The Georgian fighter has won seven of his last eight bouts by decision, relying on relentless pace and scrambles to break opponents over five rounds. His title-winning performance followed the same blueprint.
Yan holds one win over Dvalishvili from their first meeting years ago, though the champion has since evolved into one of the division's most durable grapplers. The third fight will settle the score.
