Ennis Signs Matchroom Extension

Jaron Ennis has signed a seven-fight extension with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom, with undisputed at 154 pounds as his stated goal.

IBF champion Josh Kelly re-signed with the promoter the same day, which puts Hearn in position to make an in-house unification. The winner would hold three belts and need only Sebastian Fundora’s WBC title to become undisputed.

Ennis, 29, added the WBA belt to his WBO title by stopping Xander Zayas in Brooklyn in July. No date or opponent has been announced.

“I’m excited for my extended partnership with Matchroom. Together we have aligned ourselves in all the right positions to get what I want, and that’s undisputed!” Ennis.
