Dana White Accuses KSI, Fury, Paul, Danis Of Lying About PPV Sales

Dana White has hit out at KSI and Logan Paul’s claims that their card on October 14th, 2023, sold 1.3 million PPV buys.

KSI took on Tommy Fury, while Paul faced off against Dillon Danis. The build-up for both fights was marred by controversy. KSI had to face a barrage of insults from Fury’s father, John Fury, who had attempted to intimidate the boxer by confronting him during the face-off by hitting his head against the cage.

Meanwhile, Danis attempted to rile up Logan by posting pictures of his fiancée, Nina Agdal, in order to show her alleged high body count. That did not go down very well, as Agdal got a restraining order against the fighter and sued the fighter. Despite that being the case, both fights failed to offer a spectacle. KSI and Fury’s bout was devoid of much action. Meanwhile, Danis was disqualified after attempting two MMA moves, which resulted in his disqualification. In response to the event, this is what White had to say

White On PPV Sales

“I haven’t heard about anybody selling a lot of pay-per-views lately. Let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys, and if you did sell 1.3 million — if you sold 700,000 pay-per-view buys — they’d put putting on fights f****ing 10 times a year.

“Let me tell you just how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. And if you did sell 1.3, if you sold f****ing 700,000 pay-per-view buys they’d be putting on fights f***ing ten times a year. When you hear those kinds of numbers fly around the PPV world, they’re lying motherf***ers. Don’t ever believe that shit.

“You know how much f***ing money that is if they cut a deal and did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys?… I like Logan and some of the guys involved in this s*it. If you come out and say that you did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys, you’re lying through your f***ing teeth. Lying through your teeth,” White stated

Jake Paul Reacts

Nevertheless, those PPV numbers were countered by Jake Paul. The latter had his own bout with Tommy Fury, which allegedly sold 700,000 PPVs. But when it came to KSI and Paul’s bout, Jake suggested that their fight did a lot less. Therefore, the following claims clearly indicate that the fight may not have done as well as it did.

“Hahahaha. KSI is going to appeal this interview. 700K buys globally they did. Great number. Less than Tommy and I but still a great outcome thanks to Logan being on the card,” Paul stated

Regardless of whether the numbers did generate that much, the fight certainly raised a lot of talking points. And that had the impact of bringing in a new bunch of boxing fans into the sport. And that can only be a good thing moving forward.
