Whittaker Offers Pereira Light Heavyweight Return Fight
Robert Whittaker has volunteered to face Alex Pereira if the reigning heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion ever returns to 205 pounds.
The former UFC middleweight titleholder said a clash with Pereira would be entertaining, according to MMA Mania. Whittaker competed at light heavyweight earlier this year at UFC 329 in Las Vegas, suggesting he could make the move again.

Pereira currently holds the UFC light heavyweight belt and has shown no immediate plans to drop back down from his title run. The Brazilian striker previously fought at 205 pounds before claiming the strap.
Whittaker has campaigned primarily at middleweight throughout his UFC tenure but tested the waters at the higher weight class in July. A bout with Pereira would mark a significant stylistic challenge for both fighters.
No talks between the UFC and either camp have been reported. Pereira is expected to defend his title later this year.
