UFC Shanghai Card Set For Aug. 29 On Paramount+

UFC Shanghai lands at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium on Aug. 29, per MMA Mania, with bantamweight contenders Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong headlining a 12-fight card.

Paramount+ carries the full event. Prelims start at 3 a.m. ET and the main card follows at 6 a.m. ET, according to the promotion's official schedule.

Main Card Highlights For UFC Shanghai

Yan Xiaonan faces Denise Gomes at strawweight on the main card. Aoriqileng meets Japanese newcomer Kai Asakura at bantamweight, while Alex Perez takes on Sumudaerji in a flyweight bout. Levi Rodrigues Jr. fights Ce Liu at heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight and Bilal Hasan squares off with Nilson Rojas at flyweight.

The prelims feature Jack Jenkins against Sean Woodson at featherweight, André Lima versus Namsrai Batbayar at flyweight, and Jingnan Xiong opposite Julia Polastri at strawweight. Long Xiao meets Francesco Nuzzi and Rei Tsuruya faces Kevin Borjas, both at flyweight.

Early betting lines reportedly show Nurmagomedov opening as a heavy favourite over Song. The promotion notes the card and bout order remain subject to change.
