Prochazka, who lost his belt via knockout to Carlos Ulberg at UFC 327 in April, posted to Instagram on Sunday rejecting online reports that he has a bout officially booked. Social media rumors had linked him to a matchup with Paulo Costa, the former middleweight contender who knocked out Azamat Murzakanov in his light heavyweight debut on the same Miami card.

Prochazka Wants Thorough Camp Before Return

The Czech striker wrote that he remains in talks but wants a complete preparation before stepping back in the cage. "Just don't believe to every [expletive] on internet," Prochazka said in the post, per MMA Fighting. "Fight is not confirmed yet, still working on that." He added that he aims to "break everything down" and start from the fundamentals during his next camp.

Ulberg has yet to defend the title after tearing his ACL during the bout with Prochazka, meaning the former champion will likely return to action first. UFC 332 on Oct. 3 in Salt Lake City remains without a headliner and could be a landing spot, though Prochazka gave no timeline.

The Costa matchup would pair two aggressive strikers at 205 pounds, though neither man has confirmed talks. For now, Prochazka says he is focused on training depth rather than opponent selection.
