RAF Wrestling Signs Shara Bullet From UFC
Shara Magomedov has signed with RAF Wrestling, the freestyle promotion announced Friday.
Magomedov, who fights as Shara Bullet in the UFC, becomes the latest Octagon athlete to commit to the wrestling mats. According to MMA Fighting, an opponent and date for his debut have not been set.
RAF's Crossover Championship Push
The middleweight joins former champions Merab Dvalishvili, Henry Cejudo, Belal Muhammad, and Khamzat Chimaev on the RAF roster. The promotion launched Crossover Championship belts earlier this year to separate MMA transplants from dedicated wrestlers like Kyle Snyder, Kyle Dake, David Carr, and Helen Maroulis.
Magomedov carries a 17-1 record in mixed martial arts. He opened his UFC run with 15 straight wins before dropping a decision to Michael Page, then rebounded with victories over Michel Pereira and Marc-Andre Barriault to flirt with a top-15 ranking.
The Russian also competed in a pair of grappling matches under the Hype FC banner recently, facing UFC fighters Edson Barboza and Arman Tsarukyan. Tsarukyan controlled their un-scored contest in December.
