Hiruta Signs With MVP After Ring Award
WBO flyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super flyweight champion Mizuki Hiruta joined Most Valuable Promotions on Thursday, marking the second major female signing for the upstart outfit.
Hiruta holds an 11-0 record with two knockouts and has defended her title since winning it in 2022. The Japanese fighter earned Ring Magazine's 2025 Female Fighter of the Year award after winning four times on American soil under trainer Manny Robles, per Bad Left Hook. She fought once in 2026, stopping Australia's Mai Soliman in Egypt on the Usyk-Verhoeven card.
Garcia Unification Next For Hiruta
"I want to thank Most Valuable Promotions from the bottom of my heart for this incredible opportunity," Hiruta said in the announcement. "I want to be a one-of-a-kind SUPERSTAR! I want to be a CHINGONA!"
The obvious target under her new promotional banner is IBF champion Irma Garcia. The 45-year-old stopped previously undefeated Emma Dolan in April and fights WBA titlist Nataly Delgado this weekend on the Turhan-Baumgardner undercard.
A Hiruta-Garcia unification would give the winner three of the four major belts at 115 pounds.
