Milosevic Smashes Cachoeira With Brutal Second-Round TKO
Nina Milosevic improved to 2-0 in the UFC with a punishing second-round stoppage of Priscila Cachoeira at UFC Vegas 124 on Saturday night.
The Serbian bantamweight, who debuted with a dominant win at UFC Belgrade in August, controlled the veteran across two rounds before finishing her with ground strikes along the cage at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Milosevic entered as a heavy favorite and delivered on expectations, overwhelming Cachoeira with pressure and wrestling from the opening bell.
How Milosevic Broke Down Cachoeira
Milosevic dragged Cachoeira to the mat repeatedly in the first round. The Brazilian managed to scramble back to her feet and survive to the horn, but the pace sapped her gas tank early. By the start of round two, Cachoeira was visibly slowed.
Milosevic secured another takedown in the second and pinned Cachoeira against the fence. She unloaded a series of unanswered punches from top position until the referee waved off the contest. Cachoeira, known as "Zombie Girl" for her durability, had no answer for the ground-and-pound and couldn't improve position.
The win puts the 30-year-old Milosevic in position to face a ranked opponent next as she climbs the women's bantamweight ladder. UFC Vegas 124 aired live on Paramount Plus.
