Lobov Accuses McGregor Of Car Arson And Family Threats
Artem Lobov has accused Conor McGregor of orchestrating intimidation against his family, claiming the former UFC champion directed associates to set fire to his vehicle and menace his elderly mother.
The 40-year-old retired fighter aired the allegations Monday on social media, per Sherdog, as part of a broader attack on McGregor's treatment of longtime coaches and training partners. Lobov claimed that associates acting on McGregor's behalf showed up at his mother's home with a hammer while also torching his car, though he noted McGregor never contacted him directly. None of the claims have been independently confirmed.
Former Teammate Says McGregor Broke Payment Deals With Inner Circle
Lobov also alleged systematic underpayment of those who helped build McGregor's career at Straight Blast Gym in Dublin. He singled out coach John Kavanagh, saying the longtime mentor received roughly $100,000 from the Floyd Mayweather superfight despite an agreed five-percent cut that would have netted him millions. Lobov named several other former associates, including Lee Hammond, Derek O'Neill, and Gerry, claiming each was shortchanged or dismissed after handshake agreements fell through.
The two settled a lawsuit over the creation of McGregor's whiskey label earlier in 2026. Lobov had sued for what he described as his founding role in the brand's development. In his posts, he blamed manager Audie Attar for financial misconduct tied to the spirit deal and said McGregor himself reneged on multiple commitments to teammates who helped negotiate commercial opportunities.
McGregor is slated to fight one more time under his current UFC deal, though the promotion has not announced an opponent or date. Lobov last competed in a bare-knuckle match in 2019.
