Joshua Posts Career Montage
Anthony Joshua posted a 95-second montage of his career this week — and made a deliberate choice to include the hard nights alongside the good ones.
The clip shows knockdowns, heavy shots taken, moments of doubt in the corner, training sessions in the early hours, and celebrations that followed years of sacrifice. Accompanying it was a simple caption: "I am you, you are me & we get through."
It lands differently given where Joshua finds himself and everything he has been through to get here. Early in his career, the image was carefully constructed around perfection — Olympic gold, world titles, sold-out stadiums, a physique that looked built for a superhero film. That image cracked over time.
Stoppage losses, decision defeats, nights where the best version of him wasn't enough. Each setback was followed by the same thing: a return to the gym, a rebuild, another attempt to reclaim what was lost. By leaving those moments in the montage rather than editing them out, Joshua does something most athletes at his level are unwilling to do.
The message also arrives against a backdrop of genuine grief. In December 2025, a car crash in Nigeria killed two of Joshua's closest and longest-serving team members. People who had been with him since the beginning. The loss was profound, and it reshaped what his return to boxing means — competition now sits alongside something heavier and far more personal than any title fight. The caption suggests he has made his peace with that.
