Dave Allen Wants Andy Ruiz Jr.
Dave Allen has expressed interest in facing Andy Ruiz Jr. as a potential opponent for his 40th and final professional fight, targeting a December return.
"I'm not the best fighter in the world but I'm a big, fat hard btard. [I'm] well-skilled, can take people rounds and, if I can get the Ruiz fight, of course I'd do it. I would fking love that," Allen
Ruiz is coming off a decision loss to Damian Knyba in his comeback fight, having previously gone two years without competing before that. Once a unified heavyweight champion after upsetting Anthony Joshua in 2019, Ruiz has struggled with inactivity in the years since. Allen, meanwhile, is coming off a bizarre no-contest against Thomas Carty.
