Jake Paul Eyeing 2027 MMA Debut

PFL CEO John Martin believes Jake Paul could finally step into the MMA cage in 2027.

"Jake is very serious about doing MMA next year," Martin

Paul has talked about fighting in MMA for years and signed with the PFL in 2023, but never competed for the promotion, opting instead to focus on boxing. Interest has resurfaced following the PFL's July merger with Paul's Most Valuable Promotions, a new combat sports company covering both MMA and boxing set to operate under the MVP brand starting in January.

Martin said he'd like to see a rematch between Paul and Nate Diaz under MMA rules, following their 2023 boxing bout, which Paul won by unanimous decision: "That'd be a lot of fun," Martin

Martin also mentioned talk of UFC pioneer Royce Gracie training Paul for his MMA debut. Paul, 29, hasn't fought since a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua last December.
