Unbeaten flyweight Joshua Perreira has mapped out exactly how he plans to finish Antonio Cesar at ONE Fight Night 48 on Friday.

Perreira, who carries a 6-0 record with four knockouts and two submissions, expects to catch Cesar circling toward the ropes at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. "I think, as he's circling out, it'll be a right or a left hook if he circles to either side up against the ropes," Perreira told BJPenn.com. "I'll catch him with that hook. I think it'll stumble him, not necessarily knock him out, but I see it hurting him to the point where I follow him to the ground."

Perreira's Ground Plan Against Cesar

The 29-year-old Hawaiian returned from a serious knee injury earlier this year to stop Gilbert Nakatani in 38 seconds with a spinning backfist. Cesar, 22, arrives on a nine-fight winning streak and beat Lito Adiwang by decision in his ONE debut in July. Perreira said that if Cesar survives the initial hook, he will establish position and hunt for a submission. "If the submission presents itself, I will secure it. And like a vice grip, I will get him," he said.

A win over the Brazilian could push Perreira into title contention, though he expects to face former champion Yuya Wakamatsu next rather than challenge titleholder Avazbek Kholmirzaev immediately. "A win over him would cement me as next in line for the title," Perreira said of Wakamatsu.

ONE Fight Night 48 airs live in U.S. primetime on Prime Video on October 2.
