Isaac Cruz vs. Lamont Roach Jr. ended in a majority draw in their WBC Interim Junior Welterweight Title fight, 115-111 Cruz, 113-113, 113-113, as you can see how the fight played out live.
Cruz secured the interim title with a win over Omar Salcido in July, his second win on the spin. The run of form was the perfect response since losing his WBA Junior Welterweight Title in a controversial split decision defeat to Jose Valenzuela.
Roach entered into the bout with a controversial majority draw with Gervonta “Tank” Davis back in March. He was prevented of a big win after the referee did not give him a 10-8 round once Tank took a voluntarily knee in round nine. Roach was the WBA champ at 130, but has now been stripped, meaning he has more reasons to beat Cruz.
