Gina Rodriguez To Star In And Direct New Boxing Film "House of Guerrero"

Gina Rodriguez is set to star in and make her theatrical directorial debut with "House of Guerrero," a boxing film centered on a fighter chasing one last shot at redemption after his career is cut short.

Rodriguez developed the story with screenwriter Bernardo Cubria, aiming to center Latino characters and experiences within the sport: "I've been boxing since I could walk, and I'm on a mission to show the world what fighting can teach you about life, if you let it," Rodriguez

The project was first announced in 2021 under the title "Guerrero," with Ryan Garcia attached to co-star. It remains unclear whether Garcia is still part of the current version.
