Fury Credits Dubois As Best Heavyweight At 29

Tyson Fury believes Daniel Dubois has emerged as the top heavyweight in boxing after his dominant rematch victory over Fabio Wardley earlier this month.

The former two-time world champion told Bad Left Hook that the 29-year-old IBF titleholder has developed into perhaps the division's best fighter, crediting both Dubois and trainer Don Charles for the transformation. "Daniel's done absolutely fantastic in his career," Fury said, per the outlet. "I believe he's one of the best, if not the best heavyweight on the scene at the moment. Young at 29 years old, fresh, and he seems to be getting better."

Fury acknowledged Dubois endured tough nights against Joe Joyce and twice against Oleksandr Usyk, but said the Londoner has grown from those setbacks. He singled out Charles for special recognition, suggesting the longtime coach deserves more credit for his work.

Dubois stopped Wardley in their October rematch to retain his IBF heavyweight title, delivering a statement performance after losing twice to Usyk in championship bids. The win has positioned him as a potential opponent for the division's other top names heading into 2027.

Fury has not fought since losing to Usyk in December 2023 and has yet to announce his next move.
