Edgar Berlanga faces Steven Butler at Zuffa Boxing 9 in MSG

Edgar Berlanga will attempt to snap a two-fight skid when he takes on Steven Butler in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 9 on July 26 at Madison Square Garden's Infosys Theater, MMA Mania reports.

The 10-round middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight bout streams on Paramount+ and marks Berlanga's first appearance since Hamzah Sheeraz stopped him in five rounds last summer. That knockout capped a rough 1-2 stretch that also included a decision loss to Canelo Alvarez in late 2024. Berlanga holds a 23-2 record with 18 knockouts.

Butler brings four-fight streak to New York

Butler, a Canadian middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight with a 38-5-1 ledger and 32 stoppages, has won four straight fights. His most recent outing saw him finish Ramadan Hiseni in two rounds this past March.

The Zuffa 9 card also features a 12-round welterweight clash between Richardson Hitchins and Ricardo Salas, plus a 10-round opener pitting Sergiy Derevyanchenko against Jalil Hackett. Additional bouts, including undercard fights, are expected to be announced in the coming days.

First bell at MSG is set for the evening of July 26.
