Sean Strickland vows to help Indian UFC fighter Anshul Jubli

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland plans to bring struggling Indian fighter Anshul Jubli into his training camp when he returns to Las Vegas later this month.

Strickland trained with Jubli at the UFC Performance Institute recently and posted on X that he intends to help the 7-2 flyweight turn things around, per Sherdog. "Real talk this man is holding it down for India when Im back in two weeks Im gonna help him and bring soap," Strickland wrote, mixing a joke about scam call stereotypes with genuine support.

Jubli's rocky UFC start

Jubli won the first Road to UFC tournament to earn his contract but has dropped both his octagon appearances. He was stopped late by Mike Breeden in his 2023 debut after leading on the scorecards through two rounds, then suffered a 19-second knockout loss to Australian prospect Quillan Salkilld in February 2025.

Strickland's offer comes as Jubli searches for his first UFC win. The champion closed his post by saying Jubli "gonna be a real n***a when im done with him." No timeline has been set for when the two will work together at Strickland's Vegas gym.
