White Offered $10M To Fight Hearn In Boxing Match
UFC CEO Dana White has received a formal $10 million proposal to box Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn, according to Misfits Boxing co-founder Kalle Sauerland.
Sauerland told IFL TV that Misfits sent written contracts to both promoters after months of public sparring. The offer sits with White, while Hearn is close to agreeing, Sauerland said.
Misfits Reduces Initial $20M Purse
The promotion initially proposed a $20 million winner-takes-all structure before shifting to guaranteed $10 million paydays for each man. "I changed it from a $20 million winner takes all to a $10 million straight offer now," Sauerland said, per Sherdog.
Sauerland believes Hearn would confirm they are nearing terms if pressed. He joked about holding the fight at Tottenham's stadium one day after Fury-Joshua but acknowledged nothing is finalized with either executive.
The two promoters have traded shots all year over their respective involvement in producing the Fury-Joshua card. Hearn floated the idea of a public debate with White, who has expressed annoyance at repeated questions about the rivalry.
