BKFC Promises Till Big Names After Paul Fight Falls Through
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will deliver a marquee opponent for Darren Till within weeks after the former UFC middleweight's planned Christmas Eve bout against Jake Paul collapsed.
BKFC president David Feldman told MMA Fighting the promotion expects to announce a significant matchup for Till before the month ends. The timeline matters because BKFC faced a decision on whether to keep Till inactive while searching for the right opponent or allow him to pursue outside opportunities.
Till's BKFC Future Hinges On Opponent Announcement
Feldman framed the situation as a question of fairness. If the promotion needed eight or nine months to arrange Till's next fight, letting him chase a Paul payday made sense rather than killing his momentum with a lengthy layoff, according to the BKFC executive.
The Paul option existed as a fallback if BKFC had no suitable fight ready. But with a major announcement coming in the next two weeks, Till will stay under the BKFC banner for his next appearance, Feldman said.
Paul recently fought Yoel Romero at BKFC 94. The promotion added four UFC veterans to its roster in recent months and will reveal Till's opponent before mid-November.
