Michael Chandler And Ric Flair Engage In Comical Bar Brawl
Michael Chandler and Rick Flair got into an altercation at a bar in a light-hearted sketch.
Chandler is currently waiting to face Conor McGregor in what is hoped to be a big event for next summer. The fighter has been waiting for the ‘Notorious’ ever since they competed as rival coaches on the TUF 31 series. However, McGregor failed to enrol into USADA in time for a fight to be made in 2023.
But now that he has done so, a fight for the summer could happen after Dana White ruled out a return for UFC 300. But in the meantime, Chandler was seen sharpening his skills in a pretend bar fight with Flair. In the following video, Flair can be seen exchanging verbals with Chandler. Flair then proceeds to put his finger in Chandler’s chest and then ‘punch’ him in a rehearsed routine. Chandler responds with a takedown as the video ends.

But aside from that, Chandler and Flair are on good terms. Following Chandler’s win over Dan Hooker at UFC 257, Flair praised the manner of the win and his post-fight comments as the fighter recalled, showing that there was respect between the two sides.
“He’s like, ‘Man, I’m getting a lot of media buzz right now cause of some guy who kicked someone’s a** in UFC. And then started using one of my lines. One of my favorites [wrestlers] was Rey Mysterio, Jr. The smaller guy. The Mexican Warrior. He used to do the crazy flips and all the crazy acrobatic stuff. I, by no means, fancy myself an acrobat like that. But yeah, my finishing move would be something that got some oohs and aahs out of the crowd,” Chandler said
MMA Fighter Jailed
Elsewhere, court has sentenced former MMA fighter Frank Schuman to six years in jail for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.
According to the Appleton Post-Crescent, Schuman hit her with a fist after an argument in a car on April 2nd, 2022. On the same day, he allegedly hit her in Vilas County. The woman entered Elizabeth Hospital with a broken jaw. After that, Schuman is accused of hitting and kicking her on May 1st, 2022.
Schuman was sentenced in Outagamie County Circuit Court on December 4th, 2023. The sentence included a condition of four years of extended supervision for domestic violence. He pled guilty to two counts of battery, disorderly conduct, and one count of strangulation and suffocation. Following the sentencing, Schuman will have two further trials in 2024.
He is facing charges in Vilas County for assaulting his ex-girlfriend and charges in Oneida County after suggestions that he had choked, hit and pointed a gun at another woman. This is not the first time that Schuman has faced charges of domestic violence. In 2018, he was sentenced for multiple misdemeanors of battery against his ex-wife. The MMA fighter ended his career with a pro record of 11-6 as he awaits the outcome of his punishment.
