Will Dana White Enter Politics?

Dana White has shut down any suggestions that he will enter politics following Donald Trump’s presidency.
Trump defeated Kamala Harris to secure a second term as US President. During the presidential campaign, White put his support firmly behind Trump. He spoke at the Republican National Convention. During the convention, White talked up Trump as the better candidate. He also lauded him for how he reacted towards the assassination attempt on his life. White had also previously spoken at the Republican National Convention in 2016 and 2020, showing that he is a loyal and ardent supporter of Trump.
White On Politics
Trump also helped put on some of the UFC shows earlier on in its inception by offering venues in Atlantic City. White has also welcomed Trump at numerous UFC events. The latest one was at UFC 302 as Islam Makhachev defeated Dustin Poirier via a fifth-round submission to retain his lightweight title. That has created the narrative that White could take up a position within the US administration if he was offered it.
Elon Musk has been tipped to do something similar after the billionaire put his support towards the Trump campaign. He was seen speaking at Trump rallies, showing his desire to see Trump beat Harris. While that may be the case, White has now given his take on the matter. He praised Trump’s win but stated that his focus is not on pursuing a political career.
“Donald Trump is one of my very good friends. He did a great job in his last term as President and I know he will do an even better job the next four years. I have no personal political aspirations,” White said
White’s Future
This is understandable since White has plenty of things to juggle. He recently formed Power Slap, which has become one of the most talked about combat sports events on the internet. It has received a mixed reaction, with some questioning the viability of the sport and its safety. Reports indicate there is a chance that competitors can receive potential brain damage. White has also recently teased a possible entry into the sport of boxing. He had been linked with launching Zuffa Boxing in 2018, which followed shortly after he put on Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor.
Although McGregor was stopped in the 10th round, the fight has become one of the most popular of all time, selling over 4 million PPVs. White is also keen on expanding the UFC and increasing its profile globally. The introduction of Saudi Arabia into combat sports has helped. The UFC held its first event in Saudi this year. The UFC also held the first-ever combat sports event at The Sphere in Las Vegas. That is when Merab Dvalishvili defeated Sean O’Malley for the bantamweight title. Although White does have an aura, he will be keeping his promotional hat on in the combat sports industry rather than entering politics.
