White Adds $50K UFC 331 Bonus With Unusual Catch

Dana White has added a special $50,000 bonus for UFC 331 on Sept. 19 in Los Angeles, with one catch — he alone will decide who gets it.

The UFC chief executive announced what he is calling a 'proper chaos bonus' on Instagram, per Sherdog. The award ties into a partnership with the Paramount+ series 'MobLand' and will run separately from the promotion's standard $25,000 finishing bonuses and $100,000 Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night awards.

White's Personal Decision On UFC 331 Bonus

Unlike the existing bonus structure, White has not outlined specific criteria for the new prize. Instead, he will choose the recipient based on his own judgment. "For one night only, we're bringing a little proper chaos into the Octagon," White said in the video announcement, according to the report. "At UFC 331, we are unlocking the proper chaos bonus. $50,000 awarded to the fighter who I think deserves it most."

White tied the bonus to his longstanding appreciation for the television show. "Long before I did a deal with Paramount, I've been telling you guys I'm a huge fan of 'MobLand.' It is one of the best shows on television," he said.

The Sept. 19 card at Crypto.com Arena features a flyweight championship rematch between Joshua Van and former titleholder Alexandre Pantoja in the main event. Arman Tsarukyan faces Mauricio Ruffy in a five-round lightweight bout with title stakes in the co-main.
