Valter Walker vows to break Josh Hokit's leg over Brazil insults
UFC heavyweight Valter Walker has promised to send Josh Hokit to surgery if the two ever meet inside the Octagon.
Walker, who holds four straight wins by heel hook submission, told Home of Fight that Hokit crossed a line with recent comments mocking Brazil. "This guy, Josh Hokit, I can break his leg," Walker said, per MMA Mania. "But please, when he taps, I don't wanna let him go. No, I'm going to send him to surgery, brother."
Walker targets Hokit after controversial Brazil remarks
The 28-year-old Brazilian, now 15-1, took particular issue with Hokit calling his name on a microphone after Walker suffered a leg injury. Walker added that Hokit "talked [trash] about my country" and "talked [trash] about Brazilian people," promising that when they eventually fight, "his foot is gonna be mine."
Walker must first face Thomas Petersen at UFC Abu Dhabi later this month. All four of his recent victories have come via heel hook, earning him the nickname "The Foot Hunter."
Hokit, undefeated at 10-0, remains unbooked following his UFC White House win over Derrick Lewis. The New Zealander has built a reputation for inflammatory comments throughout his UFC run.
