Usyk And Dubois Face Off At Final Weigh-In

Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois hit the scales ahead of their July 19 rematch for the undisputed heavyweight title.

Usyk, the reigning WBA, WBC, and WBO titleholder, will defend his belts in a fight filled with high stakes and unfinished business. Their first meeting ended in controversy after Dubois dropped Usyk with a fifth-round body shot that was ruled a low blow by the referee. Usyk recovered and stopped Dubois in the ninth. Dubois appealed the result, though it was ultimately upheld.

Usyk went on to solidify his legacy by defeating Tyson Fury to become the undisputed champion. He later vacated the IBF title, which Dubois picked up and successfully defended with a knockout win over Anthony Joshua, boosting his momentum going into the rematch. At the weigh-in, both fighters looked sharp and focused. Usyk came in lighter than expected at 227.3 ounces, while Dubois appeared bigger and more physically imposing at 243.8 pounds, signalling his intent to bring the pressure early.

Pre-Fight

"We’re back again here in London. Look, he [Usyk] did it once and will do it again, we’re very confident as a team. It’s the same guy, what could have changed in a couple of years? You cannot train your mind, his weakness is this," Egis Klimas

"Look at his resume, he has the experience, a great team behind him, they [Dubois and Usyk] have shared the ring, he knows he can hurt Oleksandr and has done before, beaten world-class fighters, I think he’s gonna do it, I really do," Frank Warren
