Biography

Professional Career

Dubois began his career with a series of dominant performances, quickly gaining a reputation for his powerful punching and aggressive style. His early victories included a first-round TKO against Marcus Kelly in April 2017 and a second-round TKO against Blaise Mendouo in April 2017. These early wins showcased Dubois’ potential and set the stage for his rapid ascent in the heavyweight ranks. In July 2017, Dubois claimed the vacant WBC Youth heavyweight title by defeating Mauricio Barragan with a second-round knockout. This victory was followed by a first-round knockout win against AJ Carter in September 2017, earning Dubois the Southern Area heavyweight title. He continued to build on this momentum with a series of successful title defenses and victories, including a win over Tom Little in June 2018, which earned him the vacant English heavyweight title.

Dubois’ career reached new heights in 2019 when he captured the British heavyweight title with a fifth-round knockout of Nathan Gorman. He then won the Commonwealth and WBO International heavyweight titles with a first-round TKO against Ebenezer Tetteh in September 2019. These victories solidified Dubois’ status as one of the top heavyweight contenders and positioned him for even greater challenges. In November 2020, Dubois faced a significant test against Joe Joyce for the British, Commonwealth, WBC Silver, and WBO International heavyweight titles. Despite a strong start, Dubois suffered his first professional loss, being knocked out in the tenth round. Undeterred, Dubois rebounded with a series of impressive wins, including a knockout victory over Bogdan Dinu in June 2021 to claim the vacant WBA interim heavyweight title.

Dubois’ career continued to progress with a string of victories, culminating in winning the WBA (Regular) heavyweight title with a fourth-round knockout of Trevor Bryan in June 2022. He successfully defended this title with a third-round TKO against Kevin Lerena in December 2022. However, in August 2023, Dubois faced Oleksandr Usyk for multiple heavyweight titles but was knocked out in the ninth round, marking another setback in his career. Nevertheless, Dubois showcased his resilience by securing two significant victories in Saudi Arabia. In December 2023, he defeated Jarrell Miller with a tenth-round TKO, and in June 2024, Dubois captured the vacant IBF interim heavyweight title with an eighth-round TKO against Filip Hrgović.
