New UFC heavyweight Anthony Wint will make his promotional debut 11 days after winning his contract on Dana White's Contender Series.
Wint faces fellow newcomer Terrance Chatman at UFC Sacramento on Aug. 22 inside Golden 1 Center, Heavy.com first reported. The 30-year-old ran through Matt Adams in 34 seconds on Contender Series earlier this week, improving to 7-0 with five knockouts and one submission. Immediately after the stoppage, he told White he would not leave Las Vegas without another fight booked.

Former NFL Linebacker Gets Rapid Turnaround
Wint played linebacker for the New York Jets before transitioning to MMA and capturing the Fury FC heavyweight title. Chatman enters the UFC on a first-round leg-kick finish over Juan Torres and carries a 5-1 record with four knockouts. His only loss came via split decision against Myron Dennis.
The bout joins a UFC Sacramento card headlined by Anthony Hernandez against Gregory Rodrigues. Both heavyweights will make their Octagon debuts on nine days' notice, with Wint's undefeated streak and 85 percent finish rate making him one of the promotion's most promising heavyweight prospects.
