Tyson Fury to face Mariusz Wach in Thailand July warm-up

Tyson Fury will face veteran heavyweight Mariusz Wach on July 24 in Pattaya, Thailand, as his final tune-up before meeting Anthony Joshua later this year.

The 37-year-old former undisputed champion takes on the 46-year-old Polish fighter at Max Muay Thai Stadium, according to announcements from Fury and Queensberry Promotions on Tuesday. Bad Left Hook reports that ticket proceeds will go to local charities and the WBC will present Fury with a "Humanitarian title" after the bout.

Wach provides low-risk preparation ahead of Joshua showdown

Wach brings a 39-13 record with 20 knockouts, though he has dropped three of his last four fights. Per MMA Fighting, the journeyman most recently lost a decision to Viktor Vykhryst in March and previously challenged Wladimir Klitschko for unified titles back in 2012. Since that loss, he has gone 12-12 in the squared circle.

Fury holds a 35-2-1 record with 24 knockouts and returned from his fifth retirement in April, easily outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Joshua fights his own warm-up the following day, facing Kristian Prenga on July 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The early fight poster lists Netflix among its broadcast partners, and both European and American audiences will be able to stream the fight despite Thailand's time zone placing it outside prime viewing hours. The Fury-Joshua bout is expected to take place later in 2026.
