Trevor Peek vs. Kurtis Campbell set for UFC Paris card
Trevor Peek will face Kurtis Campbell in a featherweight bout at UFC Paris on Sept. 5, multiple outlets reported Monday.
The 145-pound matchup at Accor Arena pairs two fighters looking to bounce back from losses. Peek entered the UFC in 2022 with an unblemished record but has since gone 2-3 inside the cage, dropping his last two outings. Campbell, who knocked out his Contender Series opponent in the first round last year to earn his contract, suffered his first professional defeat in March when Danny Silva stopped him in the second round at a London card.
What the matchup means for both featherweights
Both fighters were heavily favored in recent bouts but failed to deliver. Campbell had been 8-0 before Silva caught him early in round two at the O2 Arena. Peek has struggled to find consistency since his promotional debut, winning just two of five UFC appearances.
The Paris card currently has two confirmed bouts. A flyweight clash between promotional newcomers Michael Aljarouj and Fabia Sintes was announced previously. UFC Paris takes place Sept. 5 with additional matchups expected in the coming weeks.
