Spence Vs. Crawford Fight Predictions

Rick Ross, the American rapper, has backed Terence Crawford to beat Errol Spence Jr. on July 29th, 2023. 

The two fighters have had their pre-fight presser and weigh-in as all eyes turn to fight night.

Crawford is the slight favorite going into the bout, but in truth, it is a fight that could swing either way on any other given day.

Although that may be the case, Ross put his neck on the line by backing Crawford to come out on top.

"Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence, who are you putting your money on? This is the biggest fight you low-lifes have seen in a long time.

"Y’all already know Terence Crawford; what y’all want to do? TC, that’s my guy. This is the biggest fight you’ve seen in your whole life. Errol Spence, you going down. T-Bud, Terence Crawford, Rick Rose, it’s going down," Ross

The interest from Ross just goes on to show how far the fight has crossed over to the global stars. And in a fight where one will go down as the greatest welterweight of this generation, all eyes will be on Vegas come fight night. 

Mayor’s Bet On Spence Vs. Crawford

Eric L. Johnson (Dallas Mayor) and Jean Stothert (Omaha Mayor) have made a bet over who will win between Spence and Crawford. 

Spence’s WBA, WBC and IBF titles will be on the line against Crawford’ WBO belt. In addition, one boxer will lose their undefeated record. 

With that being said, Mayor Johnson backed Spence to come out on top while Mayor Stothert picked Bud to become victorious.

Kellerman’s Prediction

Max Kellerman has predicted a tough night for Crawford, as he gets ready to face Spence. 

The undisputed welterweight bout will see a tale of two contrasting styles. Crawford’s ability to switch stances and make adjustments on the fly will go up against Spence, who is a high-volume puncher looking to break down his opponents.

And given that the ‘Truth’ is known for making a fast start, Crawford may not be in a position to start slowly as he usually does. 

"If Terence turns around and messes around, he could be down 4-1 after five rounds and not against a guy that is looking to survive. Against a guy that is looking to beat you up.

"You’re going to beat Spence, right? Wait a minute. He’s a high-volume puncher, who can also box and beat you behind a southpaw jab at distance with defenses & footwork.

Despite this being the case, Kellerman recognized that Crawford is a fighter with an exceptional IQ. And that will have to be on point if he is to come out victorious in Vegas. 

"He [Spence] has a great chin and a very high work rate. There’s mustard on all those shots, head & body. How do you beat that guy?  Well, Sugar Ray Leonard figured it out. Crawford is the type of dude to figure it out," Kellerman 

Bivol on Spence Vs. Crawford

Dmitry Bivol has picked Crawford to come out victorious over Spence. 

Crawford is the favorite heading into the fight with 39 wins and 30 by way of KO. In the process of doing so, Crawford has stopped all of his opponents at welterweight.

Meanwhile, Spence has shown his ability to beat the top names of the division as he racked up three belts. Wins over Kell Brook, Shawn Porter and Yordenis Ugas secured the IBF, WBC and WBA belts respectively. 

Although size could play a factor, given that Spence is the much bigger man, Bivol felt that Crawford’s skills could edge things, as he saw the WBO champion as the most complete fighter. 

"I would say Crawford is the favorite. Because of his speed, movement, and reflexes. Spence is the bigger guy in the ring and also has great ring IQ but in my opinion, Crawford is the most complete fighter of all right now," Bivol stated

Ultimately, one fighter will come out second best. And in a fight where legacy is on the line, the loser will have to contend with being the second-best of this era. And there is no getting away from that.
