Silva Vs. Rodriguez Set For Noche UFC Headliner
Jean Silva will face Yair Rodriguez in the Noche UFC headliner on Sept. 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, according to a report from ESPN Brasil first shared by MMA Mania.
Silva enters off a decision win over Arnold Allen at UFC 324 in January, his first victory since Diego Lopes knocked him out. The 29-year-old Brazilian stands 6-1 inside the UFC and could crack the title picture with a win over the former interim champion.
Rodriguez Returns After 16-Month Layoff
Rodriguez has not fought since beating Bellator legend Patricio Pitbull by decision at UFC 314 in April 2025. The 33-year-old Mexican sits close enough to the top of the division that a win over Silva would put him back in the conversation for a rematch with featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, though not guarantee it.
Noche UFC takes place on Paramount Plus. The card was recently moved to an earlier start time to avoid a scheduling clash with the Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn boxing event the same night.
