Shumarov Meets Mammadov As ONE Fight Night 49 Card Set
Bogdan Shumarov will face Gasham Mammadov in lightweight kickboxing at ONE Fight Night 49 on November 6, completing a nine-bout card at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
The Bulgarian knockout artist has seen two fights collapse in recent months through no fault of his own. A planned clash with Regian Eersel fell apart due to injury, while his ONE SAMURAI 4 matchup with Rukiya Anpo was scrapped when the Japanese fighter missed weight, per BJPenn.com.
Shumarov's Title Path After Frustrating Stretch
The 30-year-old brings a 19-3 record into the contest, including a 3-1 mark in ONE with all three victories coming by stoppage. Standing 5-foot-11, he possesses one-punch power that has kept him in the world title picture at lightweight. A dominant showing against Mammadov would push him back toward championship contention after the string of cancelled bouts.
Mammadov, 23, makes his ONE debut with a 21-3 record and a two-inch height advantage. The Silk Muay Thai representative would announce himself as a legitimate threat by beating a proven finisher in his first promotional appearance.
Lucas Gabriel meets Magomed Magomedov in lightweight MMA in the main event, while Victor Hugo takes on Devhonte Johnson in openweight submission grappling. The full card also features Kongthoranee Sor Sommai against Taiki Naito in flyweight kickboxing and Victoria Souza facing Magdalena Czaban in atomweight MMA.
