Shahbazyan Faces Ferreira At UFC 331

Middleweight veterans Edmen Shahbazyan and Brunno Ferreira will square off at UFC 331 in Los Angeles on Sept. 19, MMA Fighting confirmed Friday following an initial report from Leo Guimaraes.
The matchup pits two fighters coming off different trajectories. Shahbazyan, 16-6, dropped a decision to Brendan Allen in June that ended a three-fight win streak built across 2025 with victories over Andre Muniz, Andre Petroski and Dylan Budka. Ferreira, 15-4, rode a similar three-fight run last year that peaked with a decision over former title challenger Marvin Vettori, but he has dropped back-to-back bouts in 2026 against Gregory Rodrigues and Ikram Aliskerov.

UFC 331 Card Taking Shape With Brazilian Showcase
The bout adds to a lineup shaping up as a Brazil versus international field. Renato Moicano, Patricio Pitbull, Ryan Gandra and Eduarda Moura face Brian Ortega, Doo Ho Choi, Ozzy Diaz and Casey O'Neill, respectively, in previously announced pairings.
The event unfolds at Crypto.com Arena. The UFC has not announced a main event for the card.
