Salahdine Parnasse faces Dan Hooker in UFC Paris main event

Former KSW champion Salahdine Parnasse will make his UFC debut against Dan Hooker in a five-round main event at UFC Paris on September 5.

The UFC announced the lightweight clash during its Abu Dhabi broadcast Saturday. Parnasse, a former Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki lightweight and two-time featherweight titleholder, brings a 23-2 record and has long been viewed as one of the top fighters outside the promotion. His most recent win came under the MVP MMA banner in March, when he stopped Kenneth Cross with punches at the 4:18 mark of the first round. The Moroccan-born fighter has now won five straight, including a decision over UFC veteran Marcin Held.

Hooker seeks rebound after back-to-back finishes

Hooker enters the bout looking to snap a two-fight skid after consecutive second-round stoppages. Benoit St. Denis finished him with elbows and punches in Paris last September, and Arman Tsarukyan secured an arm-triangle choke in January. Before those losses, the New Zealander had strung together three straight wins over Mateusz Gamrot, Jalin Turner and Claudio Puelles.

The card at Accor Arena is also expected to feature Morgan Charriere versus Felipe Lima at featherweight and Michael Page against Nursulton Ruziboev at welterweight. UFC Paris, officially UFC Fight Night 287, streams live on Paramount Plus.
