Ronda Rousey reveals why she clashed with UFC exec Hunter Campbell

Ronda Rousey has opened up about her strained relationship with UFC chief business officer Hunter Campbell, accusing him of attempting to undercut her value during contract talks by questioning her age.

The former bantamweight champion posted on social media that Campbell was dismissive when discussing potential deals involving both her and Gina Carano. "He was being so dismissive and just trying to get me and Gina to value ourselves less from the get-go," Rousey said, per Sherdog. "He was like, 'Oh, I know, you guys are just so much older and I just don't know how it's gonna do.'"

Why Rousey's beef with Campbell turned personal

Rousey suggested Campbell's approach went beyond standard negotiation tactics and crossed into territory she found disdainful. The comments about age appeared to particularly irritate Rousey, who retired from MMA in 2016 after back-to-back losses but remains one of the sport's most influential figures.

Campbell has served as UFC's top attorney and dealmaker since the Endeavor acquisition, often fronting fighter contract negotiations alongside Dana White. Rousey's remarks surface as the promotion faces ongoing criticism over fighter pay and bargaining power.

No response from Campbell or UFC has been issued regarding Rousey's claims.
