Joe Pyfer vents frustration over UFC 330 Philadelphia snub

Middleweight contender Joe Pyfer says he has no interest in competing at UFC 330 in Philadelphia unless the promotion puts him in the main event slot.

Pyfer, who trains out of his hometown Philadelphia, aired his grievances on social media this week. "I'm pissed," he posted, per Sherdog. "I should be the main event of Philly. I have no interest if I'm not at the main event."

The 28-year-old has won five of his six UFC appearances since debuting on Dana White's Contender Series in 2022. His only loss came last September when he dropped a decision to Marc-André Barriault at UFC Vegas 97. Pyfer also noted the depth of Philadelphia-based fighters on the roster when arguing his case for the top billing.

UFC 330 is scheduled for June 7 at Wells Fargo Center. The promotion has not officially announced a main event or any bouts for the card. Pyfer's last win came in April 2024 when he knocked out Gerald Meerschaert in the second round at UFC 300.
