Soldic Announces Free Agency After ONE Deal Expires
Roberto Soldic has become a free agent after his deal with ONE Championship ran out, the veteran welterweight confirmed on social media Friday.
The 31-year-old Croatian fought just three times for the Asian promotion between 2021 and 2025, most recently stopping Dagi Arslanaliev in September 2024 before pivoting to boxing for a knockout win over Tomasz Adamek in Poland last fall, per MMA Fighting.
What Soldic Said About His ONE Run
"My time with ONE has come to an end as my contract has officially expired," Soldic wrote in a statement. "I want to thank ONE Championship from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity and the incredible experience. Every fight, every challenge, and every moment inside the cage has pushed me to become a better warrior and a better person."
Soldic's ONE tenure produced mixed results — a no-contest against Murad Ramazanov and a loss to Zebaztian Kadestam bookended the Arslanaliev finish. Before signing with ONE, he tore through KSW with an 8-1 run that included belts at welterweight and middleweight. His lone KSW defeat came against current UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis, a result Soldic avenged six months later with a knockout to reclaim the 170-pound strap.
No timeline or destination has been announced for Soldic's next move.
