Prajanchai Defends Muay Thai Gold Against Aliff
Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK defends his ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title against interim champion Aliff Sor Dechapan in a unification bout at The Inner Circle 43 on Friday, Dec. 18.
The 32-year-old Thai veteran brings a 344-win resume to Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, coming off a split-decision loss to Wang Junguang in a strawweight kickboxing contest at The Inner Circle 35 earlier this month, BJPenn.com reports. That was his first appearance since an October 2025 kickboxing title rematch with Jonathan Di Bella at ONE Fight Night 36. His Muay Thai credentials remain intact after finishing Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Joseph Lasiri during a six-fight run at 115 pounds.
Aliff Made History With Sam-A Knockout
Aliff earned his interim gold by stopping Sam-A in the fifth round at The Inner Circle 23 in July, becoming the first Malaysian to claim a ONE World Title and collecting a $50,000 bonus in the process. The 22-year-old rides a six-fight winning streak and a 63-9 record, with six of his 10 promotional wins ending inside the distance. He secured his title shot by beating Ramadan Ondash at ONE Fight Night 38 in December 2025, but Prajanchai's surgery forced the creation of an interim belt while the champion recovered.
Prajanchai uses a sharp teep to control range and reads opponent timing within moments, punishing every small mistake whether the fight ends early or goes the full 25 minutes. Aliff counters with a rangy frame, a dangerous left body kick, and patience on the break that makes him a legitimate threat to the Thai's long reign.
The five-round unification bout streams live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium, settling a matchup nearly a year in the making.
