Poirier Tells Officers To Check His Genitals In New Arrest Footage

The Atlanta Police Department has released new footage of Dustin Poirier's June arrest for public intoxication at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

The video, first shared by YouTuber Mark Fighting and reported by BJPenn.com, shows the former UFC interim lightweight champion in an agitated state after being removed from a flight. Poirier had reportedly berated flight attendants and other airport staff before officers arrived. At one point during the detention, he made crude remarks to police, telling them to check his genitals.

What Poirier's Legal Troubles Mean For UFC Role

Poirier was arrested and released on bond the same day. He faces up to one year in prison if convicted of the misdemeanor charge. The Louisiana native has since returned to his role as a UFC analyst for Paramount broadcasts, though the network could still take action based on his conduct.

Earlier footage from the incident showed Poirier challenging an officer to a physical confrontation while visibly intoxicated. He later apologized publicly and revealed he has dealt with alcohol abuse since retiring from competition last year following a unanimous decision loss to Max Holloway at UFC 318.

UFC CEO Dana White responded to the arrest with a measured tone, according to BJPenn.com, noting the promotion's post-career care program for fighters. Rivals including Colby Covington and Conor McGregor have criticized Poirier over the incident. Poirier has not commented on the newly released footage. His next court date has not been announced.
