PFL San Diego salaries revealed: Isbulaev earned $10K to lose
Main event loser Salamat Isbulaev walked away with $10,000 from Saturday's PFL San Diego card after dropping a decision to A.J. McKee, according to figures released by the California State Athletic Commission.
McKee pulled in a flat $100,000 for the bout with no win incentive tied to his deal, MMA Fighting reports. The former Bellator champion has remained a fixture on the PFL roster since the promotion absorbed Bellator. Isbulaev's show purse carried a potential $10,000 bonus had he won, but the loss left him at the minimum.
Carmouche matches McKee's total with win bonus
In the co-feature, Liz Carmouche doubled her money by beating Viviane Araujo. Carmouche earned $50,000 to show and another $50,000 for the victory, matching McKee's overall haul. Araujo, a former UFC flyweight contender, collected $20,000 in the losing effort with a $20,000 win bonus left on the table.
Alexander Shabliy banked $50,000 after stopping Alfie Davis, who made $20,000. Rob Wilkinson and Khasan Magomedsharipov each earned $40,000 with victories, while their opponents Joshua Weems and Abraham Bably took home $10,000 apiece. At the low end, Shannon Clark made $6,000 total after winning her prelim bout on a $3,000 show/$3,000 win structure.
The PFL's next event is scheduled for July 19 in Washington.
