Okuwaki Meets Chokdee In Yokohama Slugfest
Ryuya Okuwaki will face Chokdee Maxjandee in an atomweight Muay Thai bout at ONE SAMURAI 3 in Yokohama on September 12, per BJ Penn. The four-time world champion carries an eight-fight winning streak into the matchup on home soil.
Okuwaki has stopped two of his three ONE Championship opponents since his promotional debut in August 2025, including a second-round head kick knockout of Nueaphet Kelasport and a body-shot finish of Hern Looksuan. The 3-0 start inside ONE followed a regional win over Rifdean Masdor, who now challenges Nadaka for the atomweight Muay Thai title at ONE SAMURAI 4 in October.
Chokdee Brings Power to Yokohama
Chokdee, 28, has scored three knockouts across five ONE wins, most recently stopping Mahesuan Aekmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 141. The Sor Sommai and Wor Wiwatthananon affiliate enters with a 63-21 career record built on the Thai circuit and a reputation for trading punches.
A statement win could position either fighter as the next challenger for Nadaka's atomweight Muay Thai crown. The bout joins a stacked ONE SAMURAI 3 card that also features Nadaka, former flyweight champion Yuya Wakamatsu, Hyu, and Shimon Yoshinari.
