Undisputed bantamweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue faces Junto Nakatani on May 2, as boxing pros picked their winner.

Inoue retained his undisputed status in Riyadh with a unanimous decision over Mexico’s Alan David Picasso in his last fight. Inoue remains a terrifying offensive force, having secured 11 knockouts in his last 13 fights. Nakatani is attempting to do what 32 others have failed to do: solve the Inoue puzzle. A win on Saturday would make him a four-division world champion.

Predictions

“As good as Nakatani is, I don’t think anyone can beat Inoue at the moment. I see Inoue winning the fight. He’s got such a unique, awkward, long style that can be hard to deal with. How is Inoue going to break this guy down?,” Jason Moloney said

“The big difference between the two fighters is how explosive Inoue is. Inoue’s explosiveness and foot speed will be the edge, closing the distance and letting go of those dynamite punches. I think Inoue wins this fight, and I can’t wait to watch it unfold,” Andrew Moloney stated

“I pick Inoue to win a decision in a great fight, but it’s not going to be easy. I believe this will be the hardest and toughest fight of Inoue’s career. If he dominates and takes care of business comfortably, then he’s the real man. “But it’s going to be a tough fight for Inoue. He’s been dropped twice, and Nakatani’s style is perfect to make it a close fight. Nakatani had a tough fight against Sebastian Hernandez in December, but it was the kind of fight that only makes you learn and get better,” Robert Garcia stated
